Founded May 2006 in Los Angeles, CA, Above the Curve Theatre Company is a women-driven, actor-derived, not-for-profit organization dedicated to empowering female artists and strengthening our community.
We provide a fun and safe environment for artists to cultivate new and current talents. All members are encouraged to write, act, produce and direct, and, while our primary creative outlet is the theatre. Our goal is to develop versatile artists capable of creating more dynamic work for women and tackling the most challenging roles.

Our company members are the heart and soul of Above the Curve. There is no "pay to play" at Above the Curve, our members are NOT asked to pay dues or sell a certain number of tickets. Instead, we roll up our sleeves and work together not only on the stage, but also behind the scenes. This dedication results in both great theatre and a great theatre family.
